How do I log in?
Click Login in the navigation bar on the CFA UK website.
Before logging in for the first time, you’ll need to register an account with us.
To register for an account:
- Go to the ‘Login’ page on the CFA UK website and click on ‘Haven't got an account? Register with us’
- You’ll need to enter an email address – please take note of the guidance below. To ensure we match your membership in our systems and grant you access to your exclusive member benefits:
- Regular and Affiliate members with CFA Institute should register with the same email address as the one you use to access your CFA Institute account.
- Local members, you will already have an account that you use to apply and renew your membership. So, you can proceed to Login.
- Create a password and submit the registration form
- Check your inbox for your activation email and activate your account
- Log in to the CFA UK Portal to book on to events and see your membership information

How do I book on to events?
Explore CFA UK Events
CFA UK’s event system is now an integrated with the CFA UK website. To book your place at an upcoming event:
- Head to our events listing page and you’ll find a list of all upcoming events
- Select the event you wish to attend by clicking the ‘see event button’
- Select the ‘register’ button
- You’ll be prompted to log in to your CFA UK account
- If you are logging in for the first time, please see the ‘How do I login’ question at the beginning of the FAQs
- Once you have successfully logged in, you’ll complete your event booking with CFA UK
- Check your inbox for your event confirmation email
- Log in to CFA UK portal to view all your upcoming event bookings

How do I access Professional Learning resources?
Explore Professional Learning
To access our member exclusive Professional Learning resources, you will need to log in to the CFA UK website with your CFA UK Portal account details.
If you have not yet registered for the site, follow these steps:
- Go to the ‘Login’ page on the CFA UK website and click on ‘Haven't got an account? Register with us’
- You’ll need to enter an email address – remember you will need to use the email address we have associated with your membership. To ensure we match your membership in our systems and grant you access to your exclusive member benefits:
- Regular and Affiliate members with CFA Institute should register with the same email address as the one you use to access your CFA Institute account.
- Local members you will already have an account that you use to apply and renew your membership. So, you can proceed to Login.
- Create a password and submit the registration form
- Check your inbox for your activation email and activate your account
- Once you’ve logged in, click on a resource that interests you and you have full access!

How do I log in to CFA UK Connect?
CFA UK Connect is a place to connect, collaborate and communicate in one place. There are 11 Special Interest Groups, a Next Generation Network, a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Network and a Sustainability Community for you to join.
CFA UK members with a CFA UK Portal account logging in for the first time:
- Visit the CFA UK Connect homepage
- Click on the login button on the header banner
- You will be redirected to the CFA UK Portal login
- Login with your CFA UK Portal credentials
- You will be automatically redirected to the CFA UK Connect homepage, and are now logged in.
CFA UK members without a CFA UK Portal account logging in for the first time:

How to access CFA UK Connect with a CFA UK Portal login:
- Once you’re logged in, click your initials in the top right-hand corner of the navigation bar
- In the left hand menu, click CFA UK Connect
- Click 'Go to CFA UK Connect' to start viewing the networks and communities you can join
If you are not a member of CFA UK
You are able to join Special Interest Groups and Networks, you just need to register to gain access.
- Go to the ‘Login’ page on the CFA UK website and click on ‘Haven't got an account? Register with us’
- Create a password, complete and submit the registration form
- Check your inbox for your activation email and activate your account
- Once you’ve logged in, click your initials in the top right-hand corner of the navigation bar
- In the left hand menu, click CFA UK Connect
- Fill in the form that appears to gain access to CFA UK Connect
- Click 'Explore CFA UK Connect'
- Click CFA UK Connect to start viewing the networks and communities to join
How do I apply for CFA UK membership?
Go to our Join Us webpage to review our membership categories.
For Regular and Affiliate membership apply via the CFA Institute website to become a member of both CFA UK and CFA Institute.
If you are eligible to apply for Local Membership with CFA UK, you’ll first need to register for an account.
To register for an account:
- Click on ‘Haven’t got an account? Register with us’ link
- You’ll need to enter an email address
- Create a password and submit the registration form
- Check your inbox for your activation email and activate your account
- Log in to the CFA UK Portal to apply for membership
To apply for Local Membership with CFA UK:
- Log in to the CFA UK Portal
- Click My Membership on the left
- Click Apply for Membership
- If you are eligible for membership, you’ll be able to proceed and complete the online membership application form
- Accept the terms and conditions and proceed to payment
- Pay the membership fee
- You’ll receive an email confirmation of your membership
- When you next log in to your account and click on My Membership, you’ll be able to see your active membership and links to exclusive membership benefits.
I think I am eligible for local membership of CFA UK but when I click apply, I see a message saying I am not eligible for membership.
If you believe you are eligible for Local Membership, but are not seeing an Apply for membership button in the CFA UK Portal, email us on membership@cfauk.org. Please email from the email address you have registered with at CFA UK and include information on your qualification. A member of the CFA UK team will get back to you.
